What happens if there is a language in the container that you do not support?

RapidFort offers two benefits to users that are slightly different - container optimization and vulnerability management.

When we talk about container optimization we refer to the process of removing unused files. RapidFort scans a container and identifies which packages were accessed.

For vulnerability management supported languages, (see supported languages item below) RapidFort also links the remaining packages with vulnerabilities reported in the NVD database and gives users information about vulnerabilities in those packages.

If there is a language that is not supported, from a vulnerability management perspective, RapidFort will just treat that language file as another file. RF will catalog if it was used or not used and gives the user the option to remove it. So even if there is no vulnerability support there is a reduction in attack surface.
