Optimizing/hardening your containers during development enables an effortless shift-left workflow and comprises the following 3 steps: Instrumentation (also referred to, in the docs, as “Stub”) & Scanning the container, Profiling the container, and Optimizing/Hardening the container.
Profiling creates a complete and accurate picture of the components the application needs to function and how it interacts with other applications and services. This information from profiling is used by the provided RapidFort tools to remove unnecessary components and optimize/harden the container.
Vulnerability and other critical information about the container are presented via the RapidFort Web dashboard and an API, providing deep insights and tools to act upon them:
